Living Beyond Breast Cancer

I’M BACK!
I TOOK A BREAK…..WELL NOT REALLY!!
Every year when the wedding season winds down, I spend my time concentrating on my commercial and fine art work, as well as teaching a spring semester at University of the Arts and Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Though I haven’t been blogging regularly, I have actually been quite busy. This is the second in a series of posts I will make about the work I have done over the past 3 months – and hopefully I will finish them all before the wedding season gets into full swing next month. This time, it’s Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Look at the post below for Jose Garces!!

This is the first in a series of posts I will make about the work I have done over the past 3 months – and hopefully I will finish them all before the wedding season gets into full swing next month. Let’s start with Jose Garces!!
Dunnhumby, USA contacted me around the first of the year about photographing Philadelphia chef Jose Garces for a series of ads for The Kroger Co. The assignment was to photograph Jose and his mother preparing empinadas in Jose’s beautiful kitchen in his center city home. These ads will run around mothers day at Kroger food stores, primarily in the south and midwest. My crew – stylist Tracy Olkus and assistant Mark Stehle – and I had a wonderful time on the shoot but were sad when the finished empinadas went to Jose’s son when he got home from school! Here are a few out takes from the session.
If you haven’t already visited some of the Jose Garces restaurants, you really owe it to yourself to go. Bon Appetit!
